One man and two women entered the Nike Community Store on Whittier Boulevard just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday and began boldly grabbing whatever they could carry, in full view of staff
The three are believed to have stolen around $1,000 worth of merchandise, including luggage and footwear, police told the outlet. All three are still believed to be at large.
One day earlier, a similar “flash rob”-style heist took place when about 30 individuals grabbed more than $300,000 worth of items from the Nordstrom store at the Westfield Topa
The group wore ski masks while they ripped security devices off designer clothes, bags and other coveted items.
One of the suspects shot bear spray in the face of a security guard at the store’s entrance, the LAPD added.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the Nordstrom robbery “absolutely unacceptable.”
